Terrible. Just terrible. Go with Gabriel or something far superior. This strut 181667, along with 181668, have both had the bearing plate on top of the strut bind and cause steering issues and rattles.Update 8/26/19:Amazingly terrible quality. I was just at fleet farm for an alignment check because I replaced the wheel bearings, and fleet farm told me I need new struts. I questioned it at first, but they explained the popping I hear when I turn the wheel, the memory steer, the rattle when going over bumps, it's all caused by the struts, and it's all back like before work ever started on the struts. 5 total Monroe strut failures now. Stay away from this terrible company. If they want to sell defective products, they deserve to go under.Original review:To start out, the original struts were a little squishy feeling so I replaced them myself with 181667 and 181668. Now a little over 8 months later, I'm experiencing "memory steer" from both struts. Mostly the issues are with 181667, but 181668 also failed once (181667 failed twice). The bearing plate mounts on top of these struts are of terrible quality. I used to like Monroe, but with my trouble I've had lately with their products, Not so much now...They they were not what I ordered they should have been Monroe Grand and they will bootleg does not say nothing about Monroe on the box or under stress my mechanic said they were not Monroe BrandSo far so good. Installed them on my dads 2000 lhs and they fit great. The front end is a little higher than the rear but that's to be expected when comparing new strut/springs to original struts with over 95k on them. They are blue in color, which I liked personally. Some may prefer the higher end Monroe struts that are black though. The struts on my 2004 Dodge Intrepid had likely been on the vehicle since it was new. For the price, I couldn't pass up these loaded strut assemblies. They arrived excellently packaged with no protrusions through the box. They came with new upper mounting nuts, however you will have to reuse your bottom mounting bolts and nuts. After installation, I took the car for a drive and instantly noticed a 100% increase in ride quality and absolutely no clunking, as had been the case with the old struts I removed. I would definitely buy these again and will enjoy my car's ride much more because of these!i have about 1,000 miles on a set of 4 new econo-matic struts on a 2003 concorde. the front springs are binding so now i get a lovely popping sound every time i turn my wheels (sitting still, not driving so its not my cv joints). also, my rear struts (at least one of them) has something loose on it that sounds like a tin can full of nuts and bolts every time i go over a bump. and, they made the ride rougher than my wife's explorer. no warranty from monroe...it seems they have a warranty for every model of shock/strut except for these. probably to keep from bankrupting themselves...bottom line, these struts have made me hate driving my carAfter putting these struts on the front end of my vehicle was too high and it was also lop sided like the springs were imperfect-ed. This caused nothing but alignment issues and excessive tire wear. Don't bother wasting your money on these struts look elsewhereStruts were very easy to install and my car is running so smooth, and the price was very reasonable!worked great on my Chrysler 300Bought all 4 struts from Amazon for the price of one quick strut at big box parts store. Made the car handle like like new and the parts fit perfectly. The prices fluctuated and when they dropped, I bought all 4.Great value and free delivery.
